Recently I was contacted by Lisa, asking if I’d like to take part in a TLC Book Tour. It was for the book you see pictured to the left. At first I wasn’t all that interested to be honest. Only because MJ has been sleeping through the night for a while now and thought the book might be lost on me.
What I didn’t think about was that kids go through different sleep cycles in their lives. This book is from ages newborn all the way up to five years.
I’ve skimmed through the book and read about the sleep habits of a 12 month old. MJ is pretty on track. Sleeping the correct amount of time during naps and at night time. I also found that naps are a crucial part of the night time sleep routine.
So, as MJ grows, and grows into different sleep routines I will have this handy workbook as something I can reference and for guidance when I need it.
The book is really is to navigate and helpful. The thing that I liked is that it gives you options at some points. For instance when the book talks about cutting out middle of the night feedings, it gives you several different ways to go about this. So if you’re not comfortable with one suggestion you can skip over it and try the next thing the author, Kim West LCSW-C suggests.
If you’d like to purchase the book through Amazon just click the picture of the book above and it will take you to the site for purchasing.
Guess, what guys? They even offered to give one of my readers a copy of this workbook! I know this can be helpful for a lot of my readers. Especially if you have a few kids that are five or under.

I want this book because my son (12 months) is such an awesome sleeper that should he switch his sleep patterns, I wouldn’t know what to do! Sounds like that book could help save my life haha!

Um, have you seen my tweets lately?
Ha no really, I feel like I really need to get Everly’s sleeping in order and I don’t want to go to CIO if I don’t have to. I’d love to know more about sleep cycles and how to give her the tools she needs to nap and sleep as much as she needs! And if I can get her to sleep more, I will sleep more and hopefully, be a better mommy to my beautiful little girl!

This is one sleep deprived Mama. I recently (as in 3 weeks ago) went back to work and it has COMPLETELY thrown off any sense of sleep normalcy. We have one predictable sleep cycle an evening (4-5 hrs, she wakes JUST in time for me to go to bed), and that is it. Also, she never goes to sleep for me unless I nurse her and have her swaddled, and all the stars are aligned in perfect order. She hates pacis most of the time, and since she’s swaddled she can’t self soothe on a finger. So if she’s not completely out, I can’t put her down.
Let’s just say the dark circles are becoming so epic that you could see them from space.
So that is my plea
Hi there,
I have two small boys, 3yrs & 9mos. They’re great sleepers. I have no problems with naptime or how they fall asleep at bedtime. And it doesn’t bother me if they wake up in the middle of the night, because they fall right back asleep. However, I’d like to win this book so I can send it to Brandee, Babe_Chilla. I think she NEEDS this book! I’d like to help her win a copy!
Cheers, Erin
I don’t want this book. I NEED this book. I have a 14 month old who still wakes up for a night feeding and we still haven’t figured out how to make him not “need” a mid-night meal. We are not sleep deprived at all. In fact, we don’t mind waking up at midnight to feed bresho (maybe that’s the problem?) because he eats without a a fuss and goes right back to sleep. All I know is that we need to stop this. The bottom line is: a 14 month old is completely capable of sleeping through the night. HOW? I need the answer, thankyouverymuch!!

This would be lovely since I seriously turn into a raging maniac in the dark night hours. Im not a good sleeper to begin with (and i thought having a kid was a good idea to help this?) and when she wakes up for the not necessary feedings, I GO FREAKING MAD. I would just like a little halp.
I just drove around the Bay Area for an hour and a half to get my twins to nap! Help! Most days they’re down no problem, but not today!
I NEEEEEEED THIS!
Did you see my tweet from 2:30am last night? M. was up screaming for no apparent reason. My husband, my daughter and myself all need to find a way to be able to be more rested!
My son is a horrible sleeper. He’ll sleep well for a week and then he’ll be up for an hour and a half to two and a half hours a night. He’s 14 months old. I need help.

Do I really need to tell you that getting up for TWO night feedings is no longer an option because a)OMGMYPOORNIPPLES and b)pregnancy exhaustion is bad enough without having my sleep interrupted by a screaming toddler. Soooooo tired. If I don’t win I may be buying this book anyways. If I can remember what it’s called in my exhausted zombie state.

My 20 month old still wakes up in the middle of the night. Not every night, but at least 3 nights a week. I REALLY need this book because I can’t find something that consistently has worked and I want to sleep through the night too
after reading all your comments (call me crazy) I simply cannot WAIT to be apart of the mm club… totally serious too, no sarcasm… im super jealous, even with no sleep, you are all so blessed!
I’d like this book to help increase the length of Rory’s stupid nap-lets!
