Hi Tweeps! And non Tweeps whom read regularly. This was a fun little post to do. I’ve had a few questions about my tattoos so hopefully this will give some of you a little more insight. AND I’m looking forward to doing the blog hop and checking out all of your tattoo’s as well.

First up is the infamous lip tat, the one I believe that started this crazy tat tour in the first place.  This tattoo is probably 6-7 years old. I went with a group of friends that were getting them and some how ended up getting one as well. A friend said he would pay for it if I did it. I’m not one to turn down freebies, so I happily said yes.  I hadn’t a clue what to get though.  At the time I was a wannabe punk rawker and was listening to a lot of ‘Circle Jerks’. My favorite song being “live fast, die young”. So, LFDY is what I came up with being a great idea for a lip tat. At the time I was very into that idea. And I still am kind of. I don’t want to die young. But, I do like the idea of living like I may die tomorrow – meaning, live it up, live with out regret, and live for what makes me happy NOW!

** There’s really no cute way to show off a lip tat. I did my best. It just looked like a scary mouth before editing. Also, my friends lip tattoos, they wore off. Mine is the only one that is still there. Its gotten a bit funky over the years though. This tattoo that hurt the least out of all of them. Healed within like an hour or two. **

Next is the one that hurt the most and will hopefully one day get colored in. But, as of right now – four years after getting it – it still sits unfinished due to my being a big ol’ wussy! A Koi fish, everyone probably has one of these. Right Nick? haha. I’d really like to finish it one day. It’s supposed to be super feminine with lots of bright, pretty colors.

Next, another unfinished tattoo. Next time I go in for a new tattoo I will probably get this one colored in. I’m tired of looking at it like this and it will look SO much better with color and touched up. This tattoo I got six years ago and it says ‘Linda”. My Mom’s name, on my right inner forearm. I Love my Mommy, that’s all there is to it.

This tattoo I got at Midnight Mass (car show) last year, a short while after Milo was born. My husband has a matching one on his wrist. I adore my child and feel as though this is just the first of many tattoos dedicated to him.

This tattoo is one of my favorites. It’s a reminder of when I’m down and out to put a smile on my face and focus on all the positive things that surround me.  I was in a gnarly, and by gnarly I do mean GNARLY car accident when I was 15. Almost lost my life. It gave me a new outlook on just about everything. I always promised myself to love my life, and do what makes me happy, don’t waste time on things that are not fulfilling.

OK, last and least – The dreadful “Tramp Stamp”. Oi, where to begin? This tattoo was my first tattoo ever. I got it within the same week of turning 18. At the time I was friends with a tattoo artist and was dying to get tattooed. My Mom practically shit her pants when she saw it for the first time. I hate this tattoo so much. Like seriously. I have no love for hibiscus flowers/butterflies. Well, they’re pretty but, I don’t love them enough to have a tattoo of them, yet I have one.  And lets not get started on that wanna be tribal surrounding it?!

Seriously, like what tribe are you from Kristi? My tribe? Uhhh, the wannabe cool kids of the early 2000″s. Hate. This. Tattoo. I also did my best to hide my butt crack, cause it really does go down that far.

I think I would rather have a tattoo of Garfield right there than this thing.

This is a blog hop so be sure to check out everyones ink! Thanks for stopping by to visit me.
