Bloggers, I have a question for you.
Where are you getting most of your traffic from? Incoming links, a certain blog registry, facebook, twitter, top baby blogs? I’m just curious. I think this could be a good discussion, and a great learning tool for some bloggers that are just starting out. I don’t need to know numbers, I’m not that nosey. But, if you’d like to share that you are more than welcomed to.
My biggest referrer was Top Baby Blogs. But, after this reset I opted to not ask for votes. So, I think that being my top referral source will be a thing of the past. Now, Twitter seems to be where the majority of my traffic comes from. I cancelled my Facebook profile awhile back but, that was also one of my main sources. I’ve been contemplating starting a fan page for this blog but, to be honest I feel really silly doing it. Like I’m some sort of bad ass or something, when clearly… I am not.

I get a lot of traffic from a few sources – a LOT from twitter and Top Mommy Blogs. I have also noticed that i get traffic from other bloggers who have been so sweet to add me to their blog roll. That is why i LOVE networking
Here is how I justify the facebook thing. My friends & family all read my blog and they do not use google reader or anything like that. Facebook is how they know I have new posts on the blog, so it makes sense.
My top two are facebook & twitter. Followed by The Scholastic site & The Bump.
short of direct links to the site, it seems as though facebook is my biggest hitter. and i don't even link to my facebook page that often (it's just a personal page, not for the blog). twitter is actually my third biggest hitter. with blogger being my second.

Yeah I'm new too, and totally finding the stats page on my blog (which I recently moved from Livejournal to wordpress) completely fascinating. I think most of my traffic comes from twitter. And by most, I mean those 3 views a day
I just looked on analytic & it looks like Twitter, FB, and blogger.com (?) are my main referrals.
I made a FB page for my blog, but much like Joanna it was so that my friends and family can keep up with the blog better from there. In fact I just put a button on my page for it today.
my tops are direct, from facebook (when i post a link telling I have a new post) and referrals from a friends blog. I get a few from picketfenceblogs.com, a few from twitter, and a few from when i comment on other pages. i dont have a ton of traffic to begin with so this is helpful to see where others get theres from!
I’m still new and don’t have huge numbers, but Twitter brings me the most traffic, then Facebook, then links from others, and finally, StumbleUpon.
i havent checked my stats recently but i think most of the hits came either directly, from twitter, or from other blogs that i comment on.
This is a good topic. Most of my traffic also comes from facebook and it is for the same reason a lot of you mentioned, many of my friends/family don't use a reader, so they rely on me TELLING them. I can let most know via fb. My next is direct traffic. I actually email some of my more technologically challenged friends/family once a month to give them the link. they honestly do NOT know how to check otherwise (this drives me crazy). Twitter is my third biggest. It has been EXCELLENT for me to network with other bloggers. I am sort of addicted to the twitter!
I think I may make a Facebook fanpage and see how much traffic I get from it and then report back to you all! That seems to be the biggest referral source I've heard from a lot of you!
I created a facebook page because most of those people need a link to the posts, they don't use readers or anything, otherwise the order is

If you go on my blog, and look under networking, you'll notice all my blog hops. I stay up late on Thursday and kinda ambush them lol. So I'm usually in the top ten. I've been open for around 3 months and have over 200 follows and around 10 upcoming giveaways.

Most of my traffic comes from Twitter, networked off other blogs, or from 20something bloggers (20sb.net). That's been the best networking tool for me!
As I'm not a mom blog, I don't have listings on any of those mom blog sites.
twitter is my biggest one & then from other peoples sites I’m guessing where I left a comment and they clicked my name & now more recently picketfenceblogs.
Most of my traffic comes from direct hits, which I guess means people have me bookmarked and just visit from there. I know a lot of those people found me through my personal FB page – random high school friends, distant relatives, a bunch of commenters from a site I used to be very active on – when I occasionally post direct links to certain posts. Then Twitter, then FB and as of last week Top Baby Blogs, which hated joining but I am LOVING the traffic. I also get a lot of hits from blogrolls I'm on, which is why I set up a whole page for links on my site – I wanted to return the favor.
I think TBB, twitter, direct links and blog-rolls on other blogs bring me the most hits (I don't have my blog on FB). I think blog-rolls are a great way to connect and I'm totally pro blog-roll.
