Milo Jake is six months old today! Jeeze. I really can’t even fully take in what exactly that means…He’s been here for six entire months. The past six months have been some of the best months of my entire life time. He’s an amazing little guy. He’s changed our lives for the better and I’m so proud to be his Mommy.
We Love You Milo: I Love any chance to make a slideshow.

I’ve been trying to Blog since Sunday about multiple things…Milo was a complete handful yesterday so that just didn’t happen. The only thing I can think is that his toothies are giving him trouble again. for about two months he’s been giving all the signs of teething minus an actual tooth in sight. My sister-in-law had horrible teethers and she said that her doctor told them that their teeth can move around…like come down and then go back up again. Pretty much just making them miserable. I think this may be what is going on with Milo. Cause usually he isn’t a little turd.
Also Ive woke up to a pee drenched child like three days in a row now. And this morning he was in my bed when it happened! Being a first time Mom I listened to my Mom and other older veteran mothers out there in them saying they started their kids on rice cereal really early. They all told me it would be fine to start him on it at two months. So, I did. He really liked it too. And it instantly helped me get at least two more hours of sleep. So I was like wow this shit is awesome. No, Not awesome. MY doctor said NO and then I realized why. Baby tummy isn’t ready for this stuff. Milo was starting to have a hard time pooing like one poo would be normal and then he’d have a rock poop. So we took him off that stuff and just put him back on 100% formula. AND he’s doing just fine with it. Except his a frickin’ oinker. Like 6oz and homey looks as though he could pound another ounce. So at bedtime I’ve been giving him a 7oz baba. So with more formula intake lately cause of not having any cereal in his diet anymore he’s a pee machine. This morning I had a giant pee stain in my bed. Lovely. I’m starting to wonder if all of my poo/tummy issues stem from my Mom starting me to early on that stuff!
In five days Milo will be five months old. I really can’t believe it… I can not wait to start feeding him real food! I know he’s starting to get ready. He’s making chewing motions with his mouth. Mercer and I are super excited to start making his baby food. I can’t wait and it makes me happy to know that we will be making his food. I can’t wait til we get the OK from the doctor to start trying some foodies out on him.

This morning Mercer, Milo, and I had some quality play time in the bed. It was great. We tried, again to get Milo to sit up. He did today the best he’s done yet. Probably Like four seconds then he fell. And would have the biggggggest grin every time he toppled over.
THEN we put him on his stummy and he was fully trying to scoot. It probably wasn’t a full on scoot but it was close and he was moving somewhere!! I’m scared he might get rug burn on his forehead. He kept putting his head down. He is carrying around a rather large brain inside that cute little dome!
Also, he loves to stand and he’s really good at it. I can barely hold on to him and he will stand for like 45sec-a minute. He said screwww sitting that’s for lazy babies! He’s a big guy and wants to stand! Ps I’m kidding. I’d be elated if he sat soon, unassisted.
And we also put him in a high chair for the first time yesterday! He wasn’t eating anything cause he doesn’t eat goodies yet. But he loved it!!!! And looked adorable chillin with his cuzzy, Lucy.

Milo amazes me all the time. But, when I went in to get him from his nap today I was really amazed.
The Picture Below is how I found him today:

When I laid him down his head was at the other end of the crib, and he was covered up. Who knows if he ever went to sleep, he may have just worked on doing a 180 the entire time.

This picture just makes me laugh. Those pingas( fingers ) are in that childs mouth 90% of the day!
He’s starting to roll over. Just can’t get all the way over though. He goes to the side then back. Side. Then back. Side then…well you get it by now. I think he will be all the way over soon. He’s getting too big too fast. Four months tomorrow. Cheezus! Four months seems like nothin until you have a baby. The development I’ve witnessed with MJ over these four months is just nuts.
He’s laying on me right now chewing his pingas, talking away, and doing these strange pelvic thrust things.
He’s our favorite thing ever and pretty ammusing.

I’m not sure how I got quite so Lucky with my offspring? Milo is such an amazing little guy. He is SUCH a happy little one. Without fail, every single time I go to pick him up he has the biggest smile on his face. Even when I’m super cranky at 6:30am and not wanting to get up, that feeling quickly goes away cause he’s so happy. How could I not be? He just woke up from his morning nap and ate his lunch and is now currently gettin’ hyphy as all hell in his bouncer. He’s making Mr. Owl, and Mr. Woodcheck fly around like crazy and is laughing at them. Gosh he is so darn cute. I LOVE being a Mommy. I now think it is what I was meant to do. It makes me feel really good as a parent that I have such a happy child, it makes me feel like I’m doing something right for once!

We had such a busy but nice weekend.
Friday night we hung around and watched almost all of Cadillac Records. We both ended up falling asleep at the very end. But, it was a really really good movie from what I saw and would recommend you watching it. I loved Chuck Berry, he was great.
Saturday we spent the day with Mercer’s family and celebrated his birthday with BBQ and swimming. I just watched, cause I’m too embarassed to be seen in a bathing suit right now by anyone other than Mercer!
Sunday was great. We dropped Milo off at my Brothers house and headed to MAS for some drinks before we went and saw Bruno with some friends. I guess they were happy with how much we spent there so at the end they brought us all out double shots of tequila complete with sparklers, it was pretty awesome. I wish I could’ve gotten a picture of it. Instant heart burn though. Bruno was hilarious just as I expected it to be. I absolutely LOVED all of his offensive humor. It was so nice to get out and socialize with our friends without milo. I haven’t been with out him in weeks. It was a much needed break from him. But, I was so happy to see him when we went to pick him up.
Today we are dealing with the insurance company for Mercer’s accident he was in last week and it has me stressed the hell out. It turns out the truck was NOT insured like we all had thought it was. Luckily our insurance, Geico, is willing to cover it cause Mercer is already insured through them. Problem is that they will only cover up to $5000.00 worth of damages and we have to cover the rest. I’m hoping they decided not to total this chicks car cause I SO do not want to pay any money for it. BUt our luck it will be astronomical prices and we will have to pay for it. I hate it! We are already broke and this will wipe us out completely I’m sure. Hopefully we can get it all figured out this week.
The bright side of today is that I went to this store called Once upon a Child. A used clothing, baby necessity store. I got Milo like five outfits for $17.00. He is growing like a weed and is starting to grow out of all of his cute clothes. I don’t want to pay a ton for clothes that he’s going to wear for at the most a month right now. So I got some really cute stuff for really cheap.

Milo has been doing random giggles in his sleep for like a month now. But never while awake. That all changed yesterday at Target. I saw Mercer coming out of the mens section to me, with Milo and he was hella smiling. He told me Milo was hella laughing. Mercer found a cookie monster hat and was holding it up to Milo and sure enough, he totally started laughing. It’s one of my favorite moments in life to date. Cutest sound ever. I started jumping up and down while smacking Mercer’s arm with excitement, professing my Love for Motherhood. Its truly the most amazing feeling ever, being a parent. So we bought the hat. Since we’ve purchased it he has NOT laughed at it again. But!! We were out today and saw a little teenager wearing a matching Ernie hat from Sessme Street! Pretty sweet.

I’ve been trying to get Milo to put himself to sleep. I began this process last week at afternoon nap time. It was hard on both of us. This last weekend that routine got completely broken, mainly cause we have no routine what-so-ever on the weekends. So as of Monday we were back on track with nap time. He’s done remarkably well this week so far. He usually lays in his crib for nearly an hour looking around and pulling on his monkey’s ear. It’s actually really cute. He usually falls asleep with the monkey’s ear in his hand! Anyways, last night Mercer and I were watching a movie so I decided to put him in his combi to see how he’d do. Well People….He did it! Put himself to sleep like a champ. I tried it tonight and he did it again. There was some very minor fussing and then he went to sleep. I’m very proud of him to say the least! This weekend I will not let this routine get broken.
