Today is one of my best friends Birthdays! Happy Birthday, Erin!!!

Saturday evening we held a mini birthday fiesta in honor of Erin.  We had a few friends over to celebrate her birthday and it was such a great evening.  We set up a sweet-ass nacho bar. Seriously, anything you could ever want to put on a nacho we had ready to scoop up and sprinkle on top your chips & cheese.  I tried to put as much detail as I could into the party, within a short amount of time and a small budget. Over the weekend on Saturday a group of our friends went wine tasting in Amador county for my good friend Erin’s Birthday. It was Mercer and my first time wine tasting. We had such a good time and it was relatively cheap. I mean, you obviously taste for free at the vineyards or the grape farms as I liked to call them. But, after you taste everything of course you want to buy some of the yummy goodness. But we took $60.00 in cash and that was all we spent through out the day. It was so nice to get out and be around adults with out children. The best part of the day I’d have to say though was just laughing. I feel like I was laughing all day long and that is a great feeling.

What I learned about wine tasting:  A.) Once you get home be sure to drink a TON of water. Mercer and I were SO dehydrated all night. B.) Be sure to remember to brush your teeth before going to bed.  I forgot to (don’t judge I was semi-drunk.) And the next day when we were eating lunch my teeth were super sensitive from the acidic wine sitting on them all night!

We had such a busy but nice weekend.

Friday night we hung around and watched almost all of Cadillac Records. We both ended up falling asleep at the very end. But, it was a really really good movie from what I saw and would recommend you watching it. I loved Chuck Berry, he was great.

Saturday we spent the day with Mercer’s family and celebrated his birthday with BBQ and swimming. I just watched, cause I’m too embarassed to be seen in a bathing suit right now by anyone other than Mercer!

Sunday was great. We dropped Milo off at my Brothers house and headed to MAS for some drinks before we went and saw Bruno with some friends. I guess they were happy with how much we spent there so at the end they brought us all out double shots of tequila complete with sparklers, it was pretty awesome. I wish I could’ve gotten a picture of it. Instant heart burn though. Bruno was hilarious just as I expected it to be.  I absolutely LOVED all of his offensive humor. It was so nice to get out and socialize with our friends without milo. I haven’t been with out him in weeks. It was a much needed break from him. But, I was so happy to see him when we went to pick him up.

Today we are dealing with the insurance company for Mercer’s accident he was in last week and it has me stressed the hell out. It turns out the truck was NOT insured like we all had thought it was. Luckily our insurance, Geico, is willing to cover it cause Mercer is already insured through them. Problem is that they will only cover up to $5000.00 worth of damages and we have to cover the rest. I’m hoping they decided not to total this chicks car cause I SO do not want to pay any money for it.  BUt our luck it will be astronomical prices and we will have to pay for it. I hate it! We are already broke and this will wipe us out completely I’m sure. Hopefully we can get it all figured out this week.

The bright side of today is that I went to this store called Once upon a Child. A used clothing, baby necessity store. I got Milo like five outfits for $17.00. He is growing like a weed and is starting to grow out of all of his cute clothes. I don’t want to pay a ton for clothes that he’s going to wear for at the most a month right now. So I got some really cute stuff for really cheap.

I was starting to have a crappy day but that quickly changed when I talked to my awesome husband this morning!!!!

He said we could go to Las Vegas for my 25th Birthday in November. I’m so stoked. I’ve been missing Vegas big time. And am excited for Mercer cause he has never been. Nearly 27 and not ever been to vegas?!  Travesty! I’m super stoked. I hope some of our friends can go with us, that would make it the best birthday in the history of birthdays. Mercer and I have never been on a vacation together. Last time I want to Vegas  it was for my friend Erins Bachelorette party.

I’m most excited to do the zip lines in the desert and to eat all of the amazing food that is in vegas! I think last time I was there the majority of my money spent was on food!
